Shannon grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he helped out on his grandpa's farm at a young age. Veronica grew up in the rolling hills of Virginia where the land and farming has been in the family for generations. Veronica had many responsibilities in her parents business (Valentine's Bakery & Meats) growing up and once she married Shannon he moved to beautiful Virginia and also began working in the business. Together we built a house on part of the farm and now have two of the sweetest boys. Our boys love living on the farm and getting to help daddy and grandpa as they care for the animals. Caring for our land and animals is something we enjoy passing on to the next generation.
A little history on how Martins Country Meats has come to be. Valentine (of Valentine's Bakery & Meats), Veronica's father, has been raising top quality free-range and grass-fed certified animals for years and selling at farmers markets. We (Shannon and Veronica) have been thinking we need to figure out a way to get these amazing nutrition-rich meats out to more families to enjoy. We decided the best way to do this is by shipping products straight to your doorstep! This is the vision of Martins Country Meats! Our angus Beef is American Grass-Fed Association Certified, from high quality genetics and processed at a young age which gives it the most tender taste.
Our free-range Lamb is raised right here on the farm. It's tender, delicious and full of healthy nutrients.
Our farm raised hogs produce the best tasting Pork which is much leaner than commercial raised pork.
Our Chicken is free-range, non GMO with no added steroids or hormones.
